FREN 1047 - Intermediate French I
3 Credit Hours
For students with some background in French, for example grade 11-12 core French (online Placement Test required: www.dal.ca/frenchtest), or to be taken following FREN 1007.03/FREN 1008.03 (final grade of B+ or above in FREN 1008) or FREN 1005 (final grade of B+ or above). Focusing on grammatical structures, this course also aims to further develop the four language skills: listening, reading, writing, and speaking. Selected readings will lead to the application of structures being studied and to vocabulary enrichment. This course is followed by FREN 1048.03.
